With only 17% reporting international travel in the last six months, young travellers are increasingly choosing to explore destinations within the Kingdom that offer culture, nature, and a sense of connection - fueled by Vision 2030’s ambition to boost internal tourism.

For Saudi Gen Zs, sustainability is gaining momentum, with 42% choosing sustainable transport and 24% seeking eco-friendly accommodations. Cultural grounding is key: 59% prefer hotels that reflect the local identity, and 45% say cultural authenticity directly influences their choice of where to stay reflecting a shift toward immersive travel that contributes to personal growth.
