Born and raised in Chicago, William Mohring attended the University of San Francisco then traveled the US spending time in Denver, Orlando, and Washington, DC before settling in Indianapolis. William has worked for well-respected national restaurant groups such as Lettuce Entertain You in Chicago and Kimpton Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco. In Washington, he helped open award-winning restaurants including Siroc Restaurant and Mintwood Place.
In his role as Plat 99’s manager, he plans to build on Plat’s stellar reputation of excellent service, great cocktails, a notable wine list, and a local craft beer program. His management experience and extensive food and wine expertise will help in establishing Plat 99 as not only one of Indy’s most talked about hotel bars, but also one of its best.
An avid home chef, William spends his free time volunteering with nonprofits working to reduce poverty and hunger. He lives in Fountain Square with his wife, Amber, and Skye, their blue-eyed Husky mix.
